allocating new roles

Even though each group member has a role we will only be using them to distinguise people in future blog post, as when we had roles before many arrguments were created, which may have not been neccesary, so this will resolve and help out any problems.

Sophie – Production Manager, line managing the assistant producer

Makes arrangments, schedules and the script is written. She also does all the telephoning and organisation of the group. Also contributes to the blog and helps wherever possible.

Amber-  Assistant Producer

Makes arrangments, schedules and the makes sure the script is written. She also does all the telephoning and organisation of the group via Instagram or Text Message.They also contribute to the blog.

Niyi – Technical Manager

He is suppervising all of the editing and camera work, such as importing and exporting the videos and arranging lighting, probs and the setting for the filming. He will be using Adobe Premiere Pro and IMovie for the editing, and free sounds for the non-diegetic sounds. They also contribute to the blog.

The characters in our opening and the roles we are pursuing

We have swapped roles many times in our group throughout our time planning the opening sequence, and jiggled all the characters around to suit the opening the best. Characters:

• Phoebe – A girlfriend at the party – the girlfriend is talking to her partner around the corner from the murder, when she hears the scream and Niyi running the go back into the house to see what the problem is. When they see the body they are shocked and think it was Niyi.
• Niyi – The innocent killer – he has been seen running from a murder by the couple who spotted him running from the body.
• Declan- The murdered boy – we hired Declan as he is not in our media group[ but he did take media and also is an a level drama student so thought he would suit this role the best

Roles:

• Amber – Amber doesn’t have a character by the end of part 1 but she is the main make-up artist and camera women
• Sophie – Again Sophie doesn’t have a character by the end of part 1 but she is also a camera women

We have also been thinking of some names to call the opening some include

• the innocence
• the innocent killer
• innocent murder

We liked these as most juxtapose each other and create an wary atmosphere.

Our time as a group

In the lessons we have had with one of our media teachers (Mr Gilbert), at the start of each lesson we are starting to allocate people with blog posts so more people in the group get a chance to write a post on their desired topic which will help them contribute to yardproductions more. This will then help us cover more sections quicker and also make a more detailed analysis on each section. We have communicated through instagram to arrange times to meet to film and edit our opening. This has also helped to discuss things we will need for the filming and the times we will be meeting at.
